Hm, the game is something of a CPU hog, but 10 FPS on your computer sounds low. Could you go to http://www.adobe.com/software/flash/about/ and check what version of Flash Player you have installed? Also, what browser (and version) are you using? I'd like to try to recreate your setup if possible an...

As promised, here's my feedback : Overall, the game plays alright, I didn't experienced any problems or unexpected behaviour. Below is a list of things to I noticed, (and I don't mean to be negative or something, it is just some constructive critism). :-) There is no indication of how much crystals ...

I know how frustrating it can be to get no reactions at all, so I will give you mine ; I went to take a look at your game, but I moved on when I noticed that login is required ... I'm sorry, but that's the way it is. Sometimes, I willing to take a quick look at a new game, but I don't want to login ...

Never mind, I got it, it's the 'Unpack game files'-option.
Click it and select a .brg file from the 'data'-directory.

I can't believe I overlooked it, I gues I'm a bit
burned-out from the loooong day at the office ... :-)

There is an Option in preferences to Export the Sound and Graphics file!
I'm also looking for graphics and I downloaded BR 2.1, but I cannot find an Export-option.
Was this option perhaps removed ?

And/or, does anyone know another way to obtain some BoulderDash graphics ?

What is the 'TitleScreen'-property ?

I noticed that some BDCFF-files contain a 'TitleScreen'-property which looks something like this : TitleScreen=iVBORw0KGgoAAAANSUhEUgAAAUAAAACoC I couldn't find this property in the BDCFF (-extension) documentation. What does it mean, how should it be parsed ? And is there maybe some other documenta...

How to apply colors ?

I'm trying to figure out how colors must be applied when parsing a BDCFF-file. I've seen the documentation which says : Colors=[border background] foreground1 foreground2 foreground3 [amoeba slime] but frankly, I find this a bit vague, what does that mean exactly ? So far, (with some experimenting w...

But I think it is exactly as I wrote. Did you check this issue? I don't think so. Speculation is not very precise.
Well, as I said in my post, I tried it in GDash. I created a cave
with an Amoeba and it grows differently after each start.
So yes, I did check the issue.

The 64 comes back !

Commodore USA announces the PC64, an Atom-powered PC in a replica Commodore case, featuring 4GB DDR3 memory, SATA 1TB HDD, HDMI output, optical drive (either DVD/CD or optional Blu-ray), and more -- all in "an exact replica" of the original beige C64 chassis. I know what I want for Christ...

If the Amoeba-random-generator would always use the same seed, then the Amoeba would each time grow 'randomly' the exact same way, that's correct. But I don't think that is the case. The BDCFF-file does have a 'RandSeed'- setting but according to the documentation, it is only used for random placeme...

amoeba & demo-playing

I have a question about Amoeba & demo-playing : I was wondering, since Amoeba grows randomly, doesn't that often interfere with playing the [demo]-section of a cave? After all, there is always a chance that a certain path will be blocked that was not blocked during the recording of the demo, rig...
