I want to make a caveset in the old format with the randomized seeds, because I always think it's neat to see the different difficulty levels on those games.
I remember seeing an editor that seemed to use this format but I don't remember what it was called. Any help would be appreciated.

Me too!
I've already started making a BDCFF for a version of RTAD1 with 5 difficulty levels. However, I've been doing this sporadically, because I don't know if I'll be able to make anything out of it, yet.
So, I'm pretty much where you are.
Do you know this format, Arno???

Boulders are round.
Fireflies are square.

There is a program, I had it loaded up but lost it. It had a mini overview of the whole cave and some text at the top for setting seeds and stats. I don't know if it's good enough to arrive at a finished self-running game with, though. And I don't remember anything about playtesting with it. That may be the reason why I 'lost' it

Can it be this one?Sendy wrote:There is a program, I had it loaded up but lost it. It had a mini overview of the whole cave and some text at the top for setting seeds and stats.
I haven't tried it yet, but it seems it can be used to create games with the BD1 (or BD2) engine (so with random seeds etc.)
Unfortunately the manual is in German...
@RTADash: you can convert games to BDCFF but not the other way round....

We'll just say that I was using the BDCFF to store the data until some program like this came along.
Even using a crappy online translator on the manual will give me some idea of what to do...

That's the one, yeah! Maybe we can request someone to translate the manual. I'd certainly love to try it, even if you can't playtest your levels.Arno wrote:Can it be this one?Sendy wrote:There is a program, I had it loaded up but lost it.
