Your boulder dash game looks good, but it runs so slowly on my Vista machine that it is almost unplayable :(

I notice that it seems to have been created using some Delphi version looking at the icon...am I right? :)

cheers,
Paul

Yes, it is C++Builder.
I'm working on new version. It's works ok on Vista or Windows 7 (32/64) at 1920 x 1200 resolution or greater. Microsoft XNA 4 required (~8 MB).
Comming soon....

Looking forward to it :)

The only downside is that my max resolution on my home laptop is 1336 x 768

For example: You can rename 'BoulderDashPortal.xml' to 'BoulderDashPortal.xml_old' and rename 'BoulderDashPortal.xml_CLASSIC' to 'BoulderDashPortal.xml'.
Program always use BoulderDashPortal.xml''.
CLASSIC - mean Boulder Dash I, II and III, but my engine is not same as original. :-( I apologyze for this.

You can also create your own cave set, with your own caves.
I want implement some new elements in future. ;-)

Hello.

Thank You very much for games and solutions hot to rename files.
The game is very very good (even perfect). I bought Boulder Dash Rocks! and Boulder Dash XL but only in this second title there is few stages of old, good and original Boulder Dash.
Another matter is that You should contact with (I don't know exactly - for example First Star Software or Calypso) and show them your work. It's 30th anniversary of B.D. soon, so they should do Boulder Dash anthology or something, especially with accent for 8-bit series (i hope that B.D.Portals would be there but with more stages).

Thank You very much again. I've been waiting very long for original B.D. on my PC. 8)

If you contact FSS they will certainly prohibit distribution of your game. They are meaner than Microsoft... :(

I updated my remake.
Now using dotnet framework 4.5, and MonoGame 3.7 instead of XNA 4.
Work on Windows 10 too.
