Though the TLC games are too difficult for me and trying to play them would rather frustrate me (I'm quite impatient :D), I always like watching the cave maps, trying to find solution strategies and watching your solution videos!
I think there's a side solution in cave V (Commodore Star), ignoring the magic wall:
- Look in which direction the amoeba grows faster
- Release the corresponding firefly and get rid of it (e.g. trap it somewhere in a circle)
- Place Rockford so that he traps the amoeba at this side and wait.
- On the other side, the amoeba will temporarily be trapped by the explosion when it contacts the other firefly and convert

If I count correctly, you can get 50 jewels that way, one more than required :)

Cheers Dustin

You're right.

I saw this "problem" during presentation @ GamesCom 2012 in Cologne. But the disks were completely produced and there was no time to change it because release of the product was two weeks later.

I don't think that's too severe and surely it doesn't decrease the value of the game! I only noticed that immediately because I've worked with exactly that concept (trapping an amoeba temporarily by firefly explosions) in one of my own caves ;)
