So,,, uhh,, I'm M3GG1RL and i'm a not just new to this forum but to BD in general :D,,, i discovered the game when i was looking for similar game to diamond rush (a j2me game for featurephones),,, the current "newer" BD game i'm playing is BD:rocks! (Although i kinda feel like a fake BD fan for not playing the original BD game yet )

A bit about me: i'm an 15 years old girl from Ukraine that lives in Germany that likes to draw (and probably playing games too,,, since i'm here)

Idk if i should share my boulder dash-related drawings in this forum though,,,, but if i can do that,,, i probably will ! (Because this forum seems to be kinda dead,,, :(

I hope i'll have good time there!!

Hello M3GG1RL! I waited a bit for the "official" forum maintainers to welcome you, but as nobody has answered yet: Welcome to the Boulder Dash Forum! :D

I am always happy to see that younger people (or let's say: people of all ages) like to play Boulder Dash, and not only those who grew up with the original game! I had a look at "Boulder Dash: Rocks!" (for the Nintendo DS), and it looks very cute and easy to play, apparently very well suited also for beginners of Boulder Dash! :) That's the cool thing, that BD and its clones are available for so many platforms, and that new versions came out every few years over the last four decades!

I think it is also fascinating so see the whole bandwidth of games like "BD Rocks!" on the one end of the scale, and "Cave Scanning Order" games created by BD experts which are absolutely stunning to watch (and probably totally impossible to play for most people, at least for ordinary humans like me ;-) ). Just have a look at this.

If you are looking for BD challenges between those two extremes, you might want to give the free GDash a try, which comes with thousands of caves, some easier, some harder. It can be played on classic computers (Windows/Mac/Linux), but there's also a port which can be played on Android tablets (but better use a bluetooth game controller or keyboard to play it).
Because this forum seems to be kinda dead,,, :(
It's not dead, it just smells funny. ;-)
