Anyone seen this one?

It seems to be simply an Atari attached to a timer, which starts when coins are inserted, and disables the controls when the time is up.
The game itself doesn't seem to be modified in any way, ie. no relation between credits and lifes left etc.. What a lame design.
You can insert coins at any time to increase the credits during the game, but once the controls are disabled when your last credit is used up, the game resets as soon as the controls are reenabled with the next coin, so you have to start a new game.

Wow, sounds like someone spent a lot of time developing that one, eh.

Where did you see this?

According to the Wikipedia entry Boulder Dash, BD has been ported from home computer to arcade at least four times. The Killer List of Videogames (KLOV) has these entries:
BD (arcade) by Exidy (1984)
BD (arcade) by DECO (1985) (DECO = Data East Corporation)
BD (arcade) by DECO (1990)

I know those versions.

It's this one I wrote about. Though throwing an Atari into an arcade cabinet isn't exactly a "port".

If it's a port at all, it's not based on the Atari version. It's a crappy clone with no soft scrolling, all caves in the same colors, and despite higher resolution, it doesn't even look good. At least, it's one game per credit, as arcades are supposed to work.

BD (arcade) by DECO (1990)

It's a more advanced clone with more colors, background graphics and ingame music. Most likely written from scratch than a port.

As for the 4th port (or clone or whatever), I don't have a clue what it is refering to. Diamond Run maybe, which is an Emerald Mine clone arcade.

I saw that one. it's just like a slot machine right? when your playing a game on that kind of machine you will going to insert a coin for a minutes then insert again... That's very common now a days, other people upgraded it into a card.

It's just like in the casino slots... so fun.
