Wow! That Moonligt Series are pretty damn good too! Just like The Blue Diamonds. Amoeba combined with lots of butterflies and squares! Action packed gameplay. Very hard sometimes, but with save states on emulator it is very exciting! Man, You are my favourite BD Constructor!

If you don't know yet: GDash has recently been ported and is currently improved! The programmer's name is Richard aka revvv and he uploads his GDash releases on GitHub. See the "Links" section here on this site!

(The game should also work flawlessly with the unported GDash version.)

So who is an Author? Map author or package author? I prefer to think that the package author. Because sometimes a caveset contains maps of different authors and the package author honestly lists them all.

Brilliantly complex puzzler with no enemies and no time pressure. Much more elements and mechanisms than Boulder Dash: Fire, water, "Portal"-portals, bombs, match 3, and some more.

But the intro text (Screenshot 2) says that all the caves were designed by Marc Piteau. It seems that Alex Zop only packed the caves into a new set and changed the graphics.

I just looked it up - actually it's not in the options but in the settings where the "particle effects" can be switched off :D

have fun with the game! :) One hint about GDash: if it slows down remarkably when there are many explosions/falling boulders at the same time, then you can switch off the "particle effects" in the options. This should solve the problem!
(I mentioned it also in the forum, but maybe you didn't read it there, and I think it's an important thing to know because this little bug can be quite annoying if you don't know what to do about it!)

I have corrected the title. Better late than never...! :-)

It appears that someone tried replacing the old corrupt version but they just replaced it with the old Boulderdash 16, not No One's Boulder 16.

Update version Feb 1, 2022: cave J ("Balderdash"), although playable, did not work as intended with the latest GDash version (I had used an older GDash version before so I hadn't noted). Now cave J is a lot more chaotic with lots of explosions at the start! :D No other changes on the game!

Update version Feb 1, 2022: timer increased on intermission 1 (the timer was too little on the lower levels). No other changes.

Hi BD fans, here's my latest game in classical 5-level style! Enjoy :D

Dustin'sBD8: cave J did not work as intended (although it was solvable) - fixed.
Dustin's BD16: int 1 had too little time on the lower levels - timer increased.

A note about GDash: if there are many explosions at the same time (which, for example, can happen in cave M), this can cause big lags. But this can easily be avoided by switching off the "particle effects" the game settings!

I forgot to mention in the cave intro texts that cave M (Millionaire) is actually a standard size version of Arno's "The 2 Million Challenge" YouTube Video! I always wanted to make a cave with a lot of diamonds to collect for the Dustin's BD series, but I found all my own ideas unsatisfactory. Then when I saw the video, it struck me as almost perfect for my purposes and I basically just rebuilt it for this game! :D

Update from Aug 29, 2020:
1. Cave H ("Emancipated Amoeba") had an unintended solution, which is now fixed. Now (hopefully) the cave is only solvable if the amoeba is prevented from converting into either boulders or diamonds. This fix was the main reason for the update, because the unintended solution destroyed the whole concept behind this cave!
2. In cave A, the magic wall no longer stops the amoeba.
3. Cave K had a lot of bonus diamonds, so I increased the requirement on lv4 and 5 and also changed the time limits a bit.

Is it just me, or is the BD16 image broken? I cannot make it work. ie. try with https://virtualconsoles.com/online-emulators/c64/

Also appears to have been released in 1988, or at least cracked that year. But usually the cracks came quickly after release.

UPDATE MARCH 18, 2020

Hi all, there was a bug/ unintended solution in cave O - Cavescanning order. The amoeba could easily give you a lot more diamonds than intended, which made it possible to beat the cave - even on level 5 - without doing any of the other tasks.

Therefore, my oversight destroyed the whole cave, and that's why I decided to fix it and ask Arno to upload the fixed version, which is now downloadable. Thx Arno!

Beside the bugfix, cave O now has two other minor differences, but I didn't change anything else in the game. So have fun! ;D
