Re: Miho Dash
I'm interested in seeing how this project pans out. Looking forward to seeing specific implementations of what the old engines did (like BD1/BD2's scanning mechanisms). Looking good so far.

Re: Boulder Dash 40th Anniversary?
Rebinding has been one of the several gripes of players of this game, and I think they are working on a way to hopefully let that be possible.

Re: Boulder Dash 40th Anniversary?
I say it's the closest that it's ever gotten to the original experience. Feels familiar, but also fresh, without trying to be what it is representing.

Re: Boulder Dash 40th Anniversary?
The classic trio still has a few things that purists will nitpick at, but the modern experience overall has a lot of polish closer to the original game, in terms of object and enemy behavior. My only gripe is that the amoeba tends to be a little faster than usual in some cases. But I'm sure there's ...

Re: Rocks'n'Diamonds with GDash game engine
Hi, These levels are from Krissz's site which operates on an engine that has some slight differences with GDash, but otherwise remains feature-equivalent. The only difference is that it is impossible to have smooth transitions between borders of a level without tooling with the renderer and creating...

Re: Alchemyst Dig!
DangerDash Vol. 01 was updated: G/3 (Mysticism) had an autofill RNG state where the level auto-failed due to the magic wall immediately triggering. The seed for the initial fill was adjusted to prevent it. The pack is updated to reflect this.

Yeah, this option should randomize colors despite a cave having predetermined colors, as an override

Re: Alchemyst Dig!
Thanks for pointing it out. I'm opening an issue with the repo pointing this out. EDIT: doing comparisons between the archive and what I currently had in my repo, revv has 1.0 whereas I had 1.01 which addressed this. I brought it up while I was opening the issue. I also permitted the use of the enti...

Re: Alchemyst Dig!
The caveset you might've been using was most likely outdated if there was one with issues. Glad the push came through.

Re: Boulder Dash 40th Anniversary Edition: Free Demo in December
Cheers for reaching out. We are all enthusiasts here so it's amazing that we have contact by someone in the know. I am curious about how faithful this will be to the original material, as well as the potential elements that will be present for use. Thank you for passing the torch, and give Leipa my ...

Re: Alchemyst Dig!
Oh snap, a post in this topic. You know what that means? Alchemyst DangerDash Vol.4 has been released. The release pack on the Github has been updated, and I'll be submitting it for the BDGB when I have time tomorrow. This time it's 25 caves / 5 levels, and one of these caves will exhibit a familiar...

Re: Rocks'n'Diamonds with GDash game engine
The biggest difference on classic scheduling is between BD1 and BD2. In BD1, there is just a delay loop wasting a predetermined number of cycles, depending on the level, thus it is very dependent on what's going on in the cave. This is also the reason, intermissions are significantly faster, since ...
